About College
Teerthanker Mahaveer University is a Jain Minority State Private university that was established by the Act No. 30 of 2008 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. UGC recognized university started its journey as the Teerthanker Mahaveer Institute of Management and Technology (TMIMT) in 2001. Programs of TMU are approved by various Indian regulatory authorities like Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Pharmacy Council of India, National Council for Teacher Education and Council of Architecture. Currently, it offers various programs through 15 on campus colleges and 7 independent departments of teaching.
The campus of the TMU is located on NH-24 and is hardly 144 KM from New Delhi, National Capital.

- Journalists Federation of India has conferred the university with the Best Private University of India in Septem 2012.
- The Construction Industry Development Council has conferred the university with the CIDC Vishwakarma Award 2013 for outstanding contribution towards Mission Skilling India.
- The university was awarded with Excellent Industry Interface Award 2010 by Dainik Bhaskar for its B school
- TMU awarded Full Accreditation by International Accreditation Organization (IAO), USA
- Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad was awarded ‘the Best Higher Education Institution” by Mrs. Deepa Das Munshi, a Member of Parliament from Raiganj West Bengal & a veteran leader of Congress Party at Hotel Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi on August 23, 2013
Scholarships:
Scholarship for Jain Students:
- 40 % relaxation in tuition fee in the first year.
- 20% of tuition fee in each remaining year of the program.
- No scholarship is available for admission to MBBS, MD and MDS programs.
- Jain students can avail scholarship under either Jain Category or Non- Jain Category, whichever is higher.
Scholarship for non-Jain students:
- It depends upon their merit results.
- Students receive a scholarship at entry level, according rank holder in competitive exams and staff scholarships

The minimum qualification required to be eligible to apply is a pass in the 10+2 examination or equivalent from any recognized central or state board with Mathematics / Business Mathematics as one of the core subjects or a course recognized as equivalent thereto by the University. Admission through JEE(Main)/UP-SEE Score/Merit based no percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
