About College

Chaudhary Charan Singh University was established formally in the year 1966 with the goal of catering to the higher educational needs of the people of Uttar Pradesh. It has grown in leaps and bounds since then and is named after the seventh prime minister of India.

• The university has a well stocked library, excellent laboratories for conducting research activities and unlimited access to the internet in its computer centre
• Students are encouraged to engage in innovative thinking, reading and speaking and every effort is made to ensure that students do not gain any knowledge through the rote learning process
• The University has been providing best placements to its students. Students of the University get placements in MNC’s every year with very good packages

Cells:

• Women’s Cell- The University has a full-fledged Women Cell in the Campus that has been performing the role of providing help and guidance to the female students of the Campus besides listening to their complaints
• SC/ST Cell- to guide the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Students for their scholarships, fellowships, govt. schemes and the provisions for their benefit

Hostel: 

• There are six hostels which are meant for boy students
• Two hostels are reserved for only female students and one hostel that is meant for the accommodation of specifically those who are sports persons
• The girls hostels have a hundred and eighty six rooms while the boys hostels have as many as two hundred rooms. 

Library
The University has a high-tech library with a wide collection of books & journals. It comprises of:

Sports:

• The University boasts of a wrestling stadium and a gymnasium for fitness
•  Additionally there are excellent arrangements for students to engage in a large number of outdoor as well as indoor games
•  The university has managed to make a name for itself in the field of sporting activities and students here take part in both state level as well as national level sporting competitions

Auditorium:

• The auditorium is equipped with light and sound systems for all the functions
• There is a seating capacity of around 1000 students

Computer Centre:

• The computer centre currently has 2 servers and 35 Pentium IV, 37 Pentium III and one 386 computer systems
• It has three high speed line printers (600 lpm and 1500 lpm). Proposals are in the pipe-line to have additional 30 Pentium III nodes on net-working
