About College

Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV), Wardha Karmabhoomi was started by an Act passed by the Parliament of India in 1997. It was a long cherished dream of Mahatma Gandhi to establish a Hindi Deemed University to promote Hindi language among students, researchers & teachers to have better relationship with other languages of the world. The institute is accredited to National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) It is located at Pipri, 6 km from Wardha Railway Station.

Campus Infrastructure

  • Main Campus is built on a 212 acre site
  • Wi-Fi facility at 150Mbps
  • An Auditorium (Habib Tanveer Sabhagaar) equipped with Audio – Visual amenities has a seating capacity of 100 persons
  • Libraries of different departments – Anthropology, Communication & Media studies, Technology studies, Computational linguistics, Diaspora studies etc  
  • 5 cafeterias in the college premises

Library

  • The Rahul Sanskrityayan central library built in an area of 1784.16 sq meters & seating capacity of 150 students
  • A total of 1,17,700 books of which 1,13,963 are text books
  • 3807 Reference books ( 3 Atlas, 5 Gazettes, 7 Bibliographies, 326 Dictionaries, 226 Encyclopedias, 510 Handbooks, 199 Rachnawali & Granthawali etc)
  • 33 computers & 2 printers
  • OPAC system & KOHA for Electronic Resource Management

IT Infrastructure

  • Computer lab with 421 internet enabled workstations out of 441

Hostel

  • There are 2 boy’s (Gorakh Pandey, Birsa Munda) with a combined capacity of 354 students
  • 1 girl’s hostel with an accommodation capacity of 152 students
  • 1 Transit hostel & 6 Non – teaching staff residence
  • A  separate Father Camille Bulcke International hostel is provided for International students
  • The hostels include facilities like Wi-Fi, Art Gymnasium, Indoor games and Mess on Subsidy system
