Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) is one of the excellent institutes in the country. It is an aided institution of the Department of Atomic Energy and a deemed to be university under section 3 of the UGC Act. It was accredited as a deemed to be university by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in June 2005 and started its academic programmes in 2006.
