About College

Darul Huda Islamic University is a prominent Islamic university in the state of Kerala. It was established in the year 1986 as an Islamic academy and was upgraded to university status in the year 2009. University has 21 affiliated colleges running in various states of India. It is member of Federation of Universities of Islamic World and the League of Islamic Universities. The University has 772 batches in total. DHIU inspires the students to teach the Muslim community and humanity at large in every path of life-religious, intellectual, spiritual, socio-political, socio-cultural and socio-economic, etc.

Facilities:

Classrooms and Hostels: The DHIU campus possesses four buildings encompassing classrooms, faculty accommodation and student accommodation. The classrooms and bedrooms are well planned and airy. The teacher student relationship has also been given emphasis.

Library: There are three libraries under DHIU, named Dr. Bapputty Haji Central Library, CHS Session Library and Al-Manhal Urdu Library. The Dr. U. Bapputty Haji Library consists of books and references of all subjects.

  • The OPAC system is installed in almost 20 computers which makes easier to search the needed titles.
  • The library can seat 200 and is equipped with good writing tables and also a reading hall.
  • There are 40,000journals and books to help students to gain knowledge which makes them more compatible.
  • Subscriptions to 100 periodicals.

Auditorium:  The Darul Huda auditorium lies on 4200 sq. ft. area and holds 600-seating capacity. Various academic and other programs are held here like seminars, special lectures debates, symposiums, and receptions of eminent personalities.

IT Suit: The smart and well-equipped IT Suite is placed in the first floor of Library building. More than 50 computers which are connected to Internet are there. The IT Suite is specifically devoted for students to help them in their studies and researches. Some expert IT instructors are to give practical and productive knowledge about computer and information technology

There are well stocked library in this University. There are auditorium lies on 4200 sq. ft. area and holds 600-seating capacity.
