About College

Central University of Kerala is the only central university in Kerala established by Central Govt. in the year 2009. University receives funds from the central govt. CU-Kerala offers a unique opportunity to be in the fast-paced learning environment. The University campus is spread over 310 acres of land. University’s biggest strength is its faculty many of them have many years of experience in teaching.

Facilities:

Library:  University Library started functioning in October 2009. The library is fully automated with the KOHA open source Library System. The library has a rich collection of books also is powered by an internet connection with a speed of 8 Mbps. Library also subscribes to various journals and magazines.

NME-ICT: University is part of the national mission on education through information and communication technology projects. This project of MHRD is launched to cater to the learning needs of students in India.

Hostels: There are 4 hostels (2 for boys and 2 for girls) on the university campus in which 100 students can be accommodated. Students are required to submit the application form with two photos at the time of admission if they need accommodation in a hostel.  Rooms are available on a sharing basis. Sports and recreation facilities are also provided to students in hostels.

Scholarships:

  • Merit scholarship of Rs. 1500 per month for the first three positions holders
  • Merit cum means scholarship of Rs. 1250 per month for students in each postgraduate branch whose parental income is less than 1.5 lac per annum
  • Earn while you learn scholarship

      Central University of Kerala provides well Infrastructure and Canteen facility. It is very important for good education. Placements depend upon your performance. Sports Facilities are there but not up to the mark. Other Facilities all needed things are here for good studies. Faculty is good, caring faculty is here for us. Administration is also supportive.

      Admission criteria - Candidate should have completed undergraduate programme under 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized University or a foreign university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
