Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Amritapuri Campus was started by the renowned humanitarian Sri Amritanandamayi in 1994. It has 6 constituent schools offering UG & PG courses.It is spread across 80 acres of land in locales of coast line of Kerala.

Extracurricular Acitivities:
- Fetal Heart 2014 – It was a two day CME program organized by Department of Pediatric Cardiology of the college. It covered the recent advances in the field of fetal cardiology with the theme of ‘Fetus as a patient.’

National Symposium on Green Electronics – It was a two day symposium organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. It focused on the development of Green Technology, dealing with designs, devices and systems without any environmental impacts.
Achievements:
Indian Academy of Neuroscience Nominates Dr. Shyam Diwakar into its Executive Committee due to the research work on the theme ‘Translational Research: Novel Approaches to Treat Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders.’
