In modern India, the value of technological education at the international and national level is well realized and this has resulted in the formation of a number of universities focused in providing technological education. The Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology is an outcome of this thought.

• The institution of Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering was established in the year 1987 by the Haryana Government.
• For its contribution in the field of technological education, the Government of Haryana promoted it to the status of a university by an Act of Legislation in 2006.
• It has an area stretching over 273 acres and has an entirely residential campus
• The chief objective of the university is to bring out centers of excellence that have the capacity to sustain on their own
• It aims at creating engineers of the highest ability who would make the country proud and have a sense of innovation and scientific temperament.
• It takes pride in having superior facilities like hi tech computer center, library, health and sports facilities etc
• It offers outstanding placement to its students. Every year top organizations recruit students from the institute with the annual package between 3-5 lakhs.

Facilities :

It would be impossible to enlist the facilities the university provides to its students and members taking care of the minutest needs and requirements of its staff and students in particular. To the delight of the students, the university possesses a grand shopping complex having everything that one looks for.

Hostel :

Exceptional hostel facilities are provided by the university that helps the students to reside in a serene environment with all the basic facilities available.

• A total of five hostels are provided by the university in which i=one is for girls and the rest are for boys
• The girls’ hostel has the intake capacity of 450 students while the boys’ hostel can accommodate 966 students
• Each hostel has its own mess providing good, healthy meal
• The hostels also have their own club as well as common room, guest room and so on
• Another girls’ hostel with a capacity of accommodating 300 girls is under construction
• The hostels are provided with 24 hour electricity and also have inverters
• Hostellers also have the availability of water coolers and purifiers so that they can have safe and healthy hostel life

Library :

The university boasts of a huge library with superb collection of books and other study materials in both printed as well as download forms.

• The library is accessed with internet facility helping the students to make use of technology to enhance their knowledge
• A total of 34, 434 books are in collection of the library related to various courses and areas of studies
• Subscription of 15 leading newspapers and 43 magazines
• Technical journals, e-journals are amongst the significant features of the library including many other interesting facilities

Computer center :

It was established in the university with the main aim to facilitate central computing & internet services to students & teachers. Unique features of the center

Scholarship :

A large number of scholarships are awarded to the students by the Haryana State Counseling Society to the students who pursue Master Degree and Doctorate courses. The name of a few scholarships that are given are:
