Entrance Exam & Admissions
PDPU takes admission through JEE mains. 50% seats for ALL India Category and 50% quota for Gujarat state. ACPC process starts after the JEE mains results. Multiple rounds are there. Cutoffs are different for different branches. 20000 - 1 lakh is the rank range probably for Btech courses in PDPU

Placement scenario is weak. Almost 50% students go unplaced. For electrical companies like Torrent Power, L&T come to college for placements. No support from college for internships. Salaries range from 2.25 lakhs pa - 4.5 lakhs pa.
Fees & Scholarships
Fees is collected for every semester before the start of the semester. Not much idea about loan facility and scholarships
Academics & Faculty
Classes are conducted on a regular basis. Labs are state of the art and practicals are an intensive part of the curriculum. Some of the faculties are really good while some are not upto the mark. But, that is the case with every other college in the country.
College Infrastructure
Infrastructure is probably the best amongst the colleges in Gujarat. Sports is still to be constructed but isolated sports facilities are available. Rest all the other stated facilities are there
Food Services & Hostel
Hostel rooms are good. But they are costly. Mess food is better than other colleges and hygiene is maintained.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University is a good college. There is every type facilities like for study library, classroom, faculties are excellent, for enjoyment 3 grounds for every sports activity, music and dance room also, nightlife is also too much good because you feel you are coming in foreign countries. There is one auditorium is also too good.

What is the placement ratio of this University ?

Placement opportunities are good there. Last year most of the eligible students of petroleum downstream were placed. This year till now 8 students out of 52 from petroleum downstream are placed and other companies are yet to visit the campus.
