Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University was founded in 1964 and is named after the first chief minister of erstwhile Madhya Pradesh.it is accredited with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). It is located in Raipur, Chattisgarh. The University is about 5 km from the Raipur Railway Station and about 15 km from the Raipur airport.
