About College

Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (NNM) University was setup to revive the brilliance and heritage of Nalanda Mahavihara. Nalanda Mahavihara was the inspiration to establishment this university for the development of Pali and Buddhism.

The current campus of the university is around 100 kms from Patna. The campus is located on the south side bank of Indrapuskarani which is one of the historical lakes of the state.

  • The Sānskritik Grāma (Cultural Village) is conceived to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Nalanda
  • The Sānskritik Grāma shall cradle community institutions around art, craft and culture and thus promote sustainable livelihoods from tourism
  • The Sānskritik Grāma is 1 km. from the Ruins of Ancient Nalanda Mahavihara and is situated beside the Xuanzang Memorial Hall
  • Sānskritik Grāma shall be a sprawling infrastructure spread over 50 acres of land
