The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to B.Ed. is that the student must be a graduate in any discipline. The candidate must either have a B.A or B.Sc. or B.Com. from any recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate. If the student has completed their postgraduate degree, then minimum 55% marks in aggregate is the criteria.

The main campus of the University is of 200 acres approximately, besides it has 2 satellite campuses one of 3.4 acres and the other of 6.8 acres.The University has a Central library, Computer Centre, Health Centre, Sports facilities, Press, Workshop, Hostels, Guest House, Housing and Canteen etc. The number of books in the Central library and the departmental libraries are more than 2.2 lakh. There are good teaching faculty.
