Aryabhatta Knowledge University is one of the most well-known educational institutions situated in the Mithapur district of Bihar. This University is dedicated to the study of natural science subjects and only the brightest minds of the Indian populace are able to seek admission into this university. Setting up of the Aryabhatta Knowledge University in the year 2008 was primarily an initiative of the government of Bihar.

Facilities:

Library: University Library has a wide variety of books, articles, periodicals and journals on the natural science subjects most of which can be accessed at any given hour within the normal working hours of the library. The students can also access computer facilities inside of the library in order to be able to do all their various research projects with greater proficiency. 

Center of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology: This center is result of visionary thoughts of Vice Chancellor Prof. S.N. Guha and Former Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar. It is developed to provide an edge for researchers to do research in Nanoscience and Technology. This center offers M.Sc., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programs in Nanoscience and Technology.

Hostels: University runs 11 hostels in its campus. All hostels have large rooms. Rooms in hostels are available for postgraduate and research students.

Sports: University has facilities for various sports like Cricket, Archery, swimming, Basket Ball, etc. University also holds various sports competitions in its campus as well as in affiliated colleges.
