Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering or K L University, is an engineering college located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. The college area acquires about 18 hectare land near the Buckingham Canal, about 8 km from Vijayawada in Guntur District. It became a Deemed University in May 2008, and is now known as Koneru Lakshmaiah University.

The Koneru Laxmaiah University has laid a solid foundation for the coming generation to shape themselves as the glorious future of India.

• It is an autonomous institution located in the wonderful region of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh just eight kilometers from the vibrant city of Vijayawada.
• The university campus is stretched across 50 acres area alongside the Buckingham Canal of Krishna River.
• “Green Fields” is the name given to the university campus owing to its splendid and gorgeous lush green surroundings that ideally suits the learners of the university.
• It has an amazing range of facilities and services that caters to the need of each and every student individually.
• A wide range of courses are offered in the university by a team of faculty which comprises of international level teachers who have acquired unmatched qualifications and reputation.
• The technical programs of the university have also been approved by the AICTE and 2006 was the year when it was given the status of a Deemed University by UGC under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.
• The university also a number of cells and departments that have been established to look into other matters concerning the students like the Anti-Ragging Cell, Placement Cell, Entrepreneurship and such more.
• The students at KLU are also given a chance to sharpen their skills through the Research Oriented Problem Solving Techniques.

K. L. University puts a lot of emphasis on the research area as it realizes the importance of research to excel in any field. Many of the students and faculty members have done extensive research work in the university and some of their completed projects include:

• Carrying out theoretical studies on simulator
• Switching control strategies for the Direct Torque contract of Induction motor Drives
• Sequential separation of High Value products from microalgae
• Theoretical studies on phased array antennas for satellite links from Aircrafts
• Design for optimization of phased array antennas and so on.
