Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University), Hyderabad was formally inaugurated on March 20, 1965 by Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri (Hon. Prime Minister of India). The University was renamed after Acharya N.G. Ranga (Parliamentarian & Freedom Fighter) on November 7, 1996. It is a state university and largest in India in terms of area.

The University Infrastructure encompasses 15 colleges, 46 Research stations distributed in 9 Agro-climatic zones of the State, 54 Agricultural Polytechnics,28 private polytechnics, 22 District Agricultural Advisory and Transfer of Technology Centres (DAATTCs), 16 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (Farmer Science Centre),1 Agricultural Technology and Information Centre (ATIC),1 Extension Education Institute (EEI) and 1 Agricultural Information & Communication Centre (AI&CC)

A total of 75 Class rooms, 77 Laboratories, 8 Libraries, 3  Sports Complex,3 Health Clinics, 4 Workshops & 3 Sports Complex & 3 Auditoriums

Hostel

17 Boy’s, 9 Girl’s hostel, 1 separate hostel for International students and 3 Guest Houses

Computer Center

The university Computer Center established in 1982 is equipped with modern PCs running various Operating Systems

Library is built on a floor area of 4645 sq meters with a seating capacity of 200 Readers

It has equipped with modern PCs running various Operating Systems. It has well library stocked. It has 2 Seminar hall of capacity 160 & 110, 1 Conference hall for 50 persons. It has good teaching faculty members.

      Eligibility Criteria - You should have passed in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with any two of the following subjects namely Mathematics or Biological or Natural Sciences and Physical Science.

      Agriculture related companies will come for the Internships. At my time we will get agriculture extension officer jobs in AP agriculture department. And also agriculture related industries will take us.
