About College

D.A.V. College Chandigarh was established in 1958, when the city of Chandigarh wasin its infancy. It is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college has grown with the city, becoming an integral part of the region's socio-cultural milieu. The college belongs to the family of the famous D.A.V. institutions, founded by Mahatma Hans Raj, and inspired by the great visionary-Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The College has been accredited by NAAC and recognized by UGC.

Library

  • The Library has a total collection of about 1 lakh 20 thousands books, journals and books on various languages
  • The Library is equipped with 8 computers connected with one server through LAN

Hostel

  • Boys Hostel: Hostel accommodation will be provided strictly on merit for about 250 students
  • Girls Hostel: Hostel accommodation will be provided strictly on merit for 400 girls in the hostels attached to the college campus. All essential facilities are available to the boarders
