About College

Indian Institute of Finance, Grater Noida (IIF), was established in 1987 by Prof. Dr. J. D. Agarwal under the aegis of Jyoti Foundation which is  a public charitable trust registered under Trust Act. The institute was founded as a non-profit autonomous educational institution with the objective to promote research and education in finance. 

• The institute has signed MOUs with over 20 Universities / Institution worldwide for exchange of students and faculty, and joint research so as to promote international understanding and academics.
• Indian Institute of Finance was responsible for pioneering Business Finance Education in India.
• The educational establishment has linkages with various industry associations and industry units like CII, ASSOCHAM, AIMA, FICCI and PHDCCI along with leading professional from international institutes like Harvard University, London School of Economics, MIT, London Business School, IIM & IITS including Nobel laureates.

Achievements:-

• IIF has pioneered the Business Finance education in India.
• IIF has contributed in Human Resource Development through education. Alumni are holding senior positions in Government & Industry.
• IIF research publications have tremendously contributed to the cause of nation building and quality of education and research.
• IIF acts as a major think tank in the country. Its opinions and expert comments often appear on AIR, Television and leading newspapers and magazines in India & International media.
• IIF has launched a Project Management Division and Financial & Tax Consultancy division to provide its expert and professional services to the small and large business corporations.
• IIF has contributed in developing an extensive course curriculum, Research Base, Conducive Academic Life, Excellent National and International Linkages and Distinguished Team of Faculty.

IIF has established more than 200 linkages leading professionals internationally from institutions like London School of Economics, Harvard University, MIT, London Business School, University of Chicago, Wharton School,  IITs & IIMs and other institutions from U.S.A., U.K, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Australia,Portugal,  several countries of Asia and Africa including Nobel Laureates.

Clubs:-

• IIF fraternity Club: It acts as a center for spreading of information and interaction between the members. The club also undertakes all activities happening at the institute which include debates, seminars, cultural and intern institute functions etc.
• IIF Finance Club: The club provides a free and frank atmosphere where students can discuss and debate issue prevailing in the areas of accounting and finance.
• IIF Cyber Club: It helps in communicating electronically with people through the internet and e-mail at other institutions.
• IIF Study Groups: It helps its members to make up and fill up the knowledge gaps. The study groups encourage the students towards teaching exercises along with learning in small groups.

Library:

• IIF has well equipped library with 55,000 thoughtfully selected books on finance, management, economics, accounting, taxation etc.
• The library has over 110 doctoral dissertations, 900 Academic Professional journals & magazines, has over 5000 latest financial statements of more than 500 private & public sector enterprises and financial institutions.

Computer Center: IIF has developed a well-equipped computer center with 60 Computers supported by IBM Pentium III 200 X and IBM Pentium II Net finity 3000 based server with multiple Pentium 233 Mhz nodes & stand alone PCs with Multi Media Facilities
