With a few to produce leaders of the future, IBS was established in 1995. IBS works with an approach to business education providing right knowledge, right skill and keeping right approach. It has adopted case-based study approach to enhance the analytical skills of the students.

• Constituent of ICFAI Foundation which is declared a deemed university under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956.
• Lush green campus spread over an area of 10 lakh sq. feet.
• Accredited SAQS by AMDISA and awarded with a grade of A++ by CRISIL.
• This b-school has MBA, BBA and PhD programs to offer to its students.
• The students here are placed in various fields like Banking, Consulting, Finance services, Manufacturing etc. Many of them now get placed overseas as well.

IBS is well known for academic excellence and is among the top B-schools in India. The key academic principle on which this institution works is focusing on more practical approach. The courses available at ISB Hyderabad are:

• BBA:

10+2 passed are eligible for applying to this program and is of 3 years duration. This program has been designed for young students to give them broader perspective of management. The course is divided into 6 semesters.

• MBA:

Practice oriented course with different case studies which increases the analytical approach and enhances innovative thinking. Soft skills are also developed in this course through presentations and overall personality development. Summer internship program of 14 weeks is also a part of this program. This is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and actual experience in the corporate world. It is of 2 years duration.

• PhD:

IBS offers PhD in Management training, research and consultancy. The program has the following main objectives:

1. Specialized skills to teach business school students.
2. To provide research skills for conducting research on management issues.

Students here not only focus on only their academic excellence but also on their overall personality development through participating in various competitions happening at IBS and other colleges across India and overseas. There are numerous clubs and societies in the campus and they organize events with a different focus e.g.:

IBS students won U.P. State shooting championship in 2010. They also won Global Social Entrepreneurship competition 2007 which was organized by University of Washington.

Classrooms:

Designed for their unique feature i.e. case pedagogy. They are fitted with audio-visual equipment for better learning experience.

Computing:

The campus is fitted with wireless connections and classrooms and auditorium have LAN connectivity.

Library:

Modern library with IT infrastructure has a collection of 75582 documents. There are several online databases like JSTOR, Science Direct, ProQuest etc. it is subscribed to 46 International and 62 National journals.

Hostel:

Separate hostel facility is available for both boys and girls.

Sports and recreational facilities:

• Indoor games like chess, carom, Table-Tennis

• Football grounds etc.

Placements:

Offers 100% placements to its students and top most recruiters are Citibank, Ernst & Young, HUL, Nestle, L&T, ITC Hotels etc.

Annual cultural as well as sports festivals are held each year. The cultural festival is named as TRISHNA, which is a 3 day festival full of colors and filled with exuberance. The sports festival is named AAVEG, which is also a 3 day inter b-school competition.
