Assam Institute of Technology was established in 1994 with the aim of providing excellent teaching as well as skilful training facilities of Engineering, Computer, Information technology and Management courses which are recognized by Govt. of India, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development & University Grants Commission. The institute is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. It also obtained the status of authorized study centre from Institute Of Advanced Studies In Education University, Rajasthan.
