About College

Bishop Moore College, Mavelikkara was established in 1964. The college named after the late Rt. Rev. Edward Alfred Livingstone Moore, the fourth Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Travancore-Cochin is owned by the Madhya Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India. The college was upgraded in 1967. Thus the college caters to the all-around development of the students..

  • The College has achieved ranks at the University Examinations and the NCC cadets have attended the Republic Day Parade and one woman cadet visited Vietnam under the student exchange program

  • The college was accredited B++ grade by the NAAC in 2004

Co-Curricular Activities

Bishop M M John Memorial Lectures - The college organizes ‘Bishop  M M John Memorial Lecture’ in honor of Bishop M M John, the founder Bishop and first Manager of Bishop Moore College. Very eminent Academicians of National repute have delivered this lecture in previous years. Since 1988, it has conducted twenty lectures in the series.

Prof. Elizabeth Mathew Memorial Inter- Collegiate Quiz Competition - Right from 2007, the department of economics organizes inter collegiate quiz as a part of Economics Weekend Celebrations.

Oikonomia Celebrations - Students presentations, Seminars by the Faculty members, discussions and Economics quiz are usual programmes being arranged every year as a part of Economics Weekends Celebrations.

Computer Centre

The computer centre with 25 terminals having internet (broad band with static IP) facilities is open to all who want to smartly tune to the rapid changes taking place.

Library

The central library is computerized and offers the students a vast collection of books on all subjects.

Laboratories

The science labs are well equipped with highly sophisticated equipments.
