Who else automatically opts out of apps with overly complicated registration ?

I'm curious if anyone else is like me – I immediately delete an app if the registration process seems overly complicated. Life's too short to spend 20 minutes filling out forms just to try something out. I get wanting to verify identity and all that, but some of these apps ask for way too much information upfront. It makes me suspicious, and honestly, I just don't have the patience. There are so many other options out there, I'd rather just move on to something simpler. Am I alone in this?

Nope, you're definitely not alone! It's a sentiment I think a lot of people share. It's interesting to me how much the initial impression matters. There's an article that gets into this idea of how sign-up impacts trust and loyalty. Check it out here: https://technotram.com/blog/why-a-good-sign-up-flow-makes-a-betting/. The piece makes the point that many users on Android and iPhone are accustomed to quick sign up experiences on apps for travel, banking, or food delivery. If a betting app makes signing up a chore, many users will churn! I agree that there's no point if that is the case.

It really speaks to the value we place on our time and convenience. In a world overflowing with app choices, user experience has become a major differentiator. Companies really need to focus on keeping everything sleek and seamless so they're not losing potential customers before they even get a chance to try their product. It might also be worth it to offer a 'lite' version of the app to potential new users.
