This is my first time flying through Toronto, and I’m already confused about which terminal I should go to. I have an Air Canada ticket, but I don’t know which terminal I should go to. There are two terminals at Pearson, and I can't find clear information about which terminal serves which airlines. I’ve read that Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 serve different airlines. If you go to the wrong one, you’ll have to find a way to get between them, which takes time. Has anyone flown with Air Canada from YYZ who can tell me exactly which terminal I should go to? I don't want to end up standing confused in the middle of the airport.

But don't stress, with Air Canada, everything is simple and straightforward. I fly through YYZ quite regularly, and their website clearly states which terminal each flight departs from. You can check it out yourself here: https://toronto-yyz-international-airport.com/en . Air Canada and the entire Star Alliance are located in Terminal 1, the larger, newer terminal with better infrastructure. There’s a free shuttle between the terminals, but with passport control and security, it takes time. I recommend allowing at least an hour and a half for a layover like this - or better yet, two hours. By the way, where are you flying to after Toronto? I'd like to know on which leg of the trip you are flying with Air Canada.

Also, I'd like to clarify something. I’m taking a connecting flight, and the first leg is with a different airline that’s part of the oneworld alliance. I'd like to know if I will have to change terminals between flights and how long that takes. I want to know if I’ll have enough time for the layover, or if I should rebook a flight with a longer one.
