I’ve moved three times in the last five years, so I totally get that feeling. The trick for me was breaking it down by “zones” instead of rooms — like one corner at a time, not the whole living room. Also, I used a checklist I found when I was browsing the moving services it had steps for every stage of packing. It helped me keep things calm, especially when I color-coded boxes by urgency (stuff to unpack first vs. last).
I always end up finding things I forgot I owned whenever I pack — like random cables, old clothes, or kitchen gadgets still in boxes from my last move. It’s kind of a weird mix of frustration and nostalgia. I’ve started treating packing days like mini cleanouts, with music and snacks, so at least it feels like an event rather than a chore.
