The Microsoft Purview Import Service is the official Microsoft method used for bulk migration. In this approach, PST files are uploaded to Azure storage, mapped using a CSV file, and then imported into mailboxes through the Microsoft 365 Compliance Center. It is mainly used for large-scale or enterprise migrations. The Network Upload (AzCopy method) is another Microsoft-supported option where PST files are uploaded to Azure storage using the AzCopy tool. After preparing a mapping file, the data is imported into Microsoft 365. This method is suitable for medium to large organizations needing faster and controlled uploads. The Manual Outlook Import method is the only manual approach. In this method, PST files are opened in Outlook, and emails are manually moved or imported into Office 365 mailboxes. It is best suited for small or individual migrations because it is time-consuming and not scalable. For a faster and more efficient migration process, you can use BLR PST Converter, which helps migrate PST files to Office 365 with improved speed, accuracy, and reduced manual effort.
