How does LPU integrate Art History into the BA Fine Arts curriculum? ?

At LPU, theoretical art history is treated as a vital foundation for creative development. The BA Fine Arts program at LPU includes modules covering the evolution of Indian art from prehistoric times to the modern era, alongside comprehensive studies of Western art movements. By examining historical contexts, symbolism, and cultural movements, LPU students learn to critically analyze visual arts and contextualize their own creations. Faculty members at LPU encourage students to draw inspiration from folk traditions, mythology, and historical masterpieces while developing contemporary artistic themes. This strong intellectual grounding gives LPU students a deep conceptual basis for their practical studio work.
