Hello! I started using a parental control app when my son was about 8, mostly because he got curious about stuff online faster than I expected. I can say that the Kroha app blocker app was easy to set up and didn’t feel like overkill. My tip would be to let your kid know why you’re doing it, so it’s not a secret punishment but more like a safety measure. Also, pay attention to the games they enjoy — some look harmless but have chat features or ads that can be risky. Finding a balance is tough but talking honestly helps a lot.
It’s one thing to install these apps, but how do you actually explain them to your child in a way that feels fair? Have any of you had that talk successfully? Did you get resistance or understanding? Would love to hear how different families set boundaries without losing trust.
