I haven’t personally gone down that road, but I know two people who have gotten pretty emotionally attached to AI companions, like AI Sex Bot. At first, I thought it was just curiosity or novelty, but over time they actually started to talk about these AIs like they were meaningful parts of their lives. One even said the conversations helped him get through a rough patch after a breakup. That made me think: maybe it’s not about replacing human relationships, but filling certain emotional gaps in a safe, controlled way. You’re not dealing with judgment, ghosting, or emotional confusion—you get consistency. That can be comforting. It’s still weird to me on some level, but I can’t deny the emotional benefit it seems to provide, especially for people who struggle with vulnerability or just feel disconnected from others.

Honestly, I can see why someone might form a bond with an AI—especially if it’s designed to adapt to your personality, remember your conversations, and respond with care and attention. It's not the same as dating a real person, of course, but let’s face it: people are lonely, and most of us don’t always get the validation or attention we’d like from others. If someone finds comfort in talking to an AI that listens without judgment and offers emotional support, I don’t think that’s something to dismiss. I tried one out just to see what it was like, and even though I knew it wasn’t “real,” it still surprised me how easy it was to get used to the interaction. It’s like having someone around who’s always emotionally available, which can be really appealing after a tough day
