About College

Basaveshwar Engineering College (BEC), Bagalkot was established in 1963. The college is a government aided institution affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The college was founded by Shri Basaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha. BEC has MOU's with GEM Sugars, Saginaw Vally State University, USA, Agriculture University, Dharwad, and Karnataka Microelectronics, Manipal. At present the college offers the degree programs in ten disciplines and five post graduate programs

• The college has a very spacious auditoriumin which many events are been held
• It has the capacity of  1500 and there is 360 seater gallery hall and 5000 capacity open air theatr

Hostel:  

• Separate hostels are there for boys and girls
• There are 2 boys and 2 girls hostels
• Hoste has the capacity of 1500 students

Festivals:

• Vibrations: It is the annual day of the college . It is celebrated with the events like singing, dancing etc.
