Ballari Institute of Technology & Management is eminently known as BITM. It was conceptualized and founded under the guidance of T.E.H.R.D. (Tungabhadra Education, Health and Rural Development) Trust of Bellary in 1997.

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. The hostels are well maintained, spacious and furnished. It has also ramp facilities for disabled students.

The Central library of BITMis spread over an area of 2000 square meter. The conducive environment at the libraryencourages every user be it, students or faculty members to use the library to his/her advantage. Presently, the library owns

Festivals:

• Punarmilana- It is the annual get together of Alumni of the Institute. The annual event rejuvenates the bond of impeccable relationship with the fellows and further strengthens it. It also provides the opportunity to current students to interact with the pass outs and enrich their knowledge.

• Drestin- It is an annual techno cultural fest of BITM, in which it plays host to students from different colleges of India. It is the most sought after event of the Institute, which provides students to learn different skills ranging from planning, organizing, executing a fest to modelling and fabricating events of the same.

• Outlook magazine has ranked BITM at 96th spot among the colleges in India.
