Lovely Professional University (LPU) is highly recognized by numerous Indian authorities, a testament to its commitment to the highest levels of academic quality and infrastructure. The University Grants Commission, the nation's highest authority on higher education, has approved LPU as a university. This certification, which denotes that LPU satisfies the strict requirements set forth by the UGC in terms of institutional infrastructure and academic excellence, is widely recognized as the highest degree of recognition for universities in India. While AICTE approval is typically required for technical courses offered by colleges or institutes, LPU's status as a full-fledged university with UGC recognition exempts it from the need for separate AICTE approval for its technical programs. The university's comprehensive curriculum and robust infrastructure are already validated under the purview of UGC guidelines, eliminating the necessity for additional approvals from AICTE. Furthermore, LPU has garnered accreditation from various other esteemed bodies, including the Council of Architecture (COA), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). These accreditations serve as further testament to the quality of education and infrastructure offered by LPU across a diverse range of disciplines. Overall, LPU's recognition from UGC, coupled with accreditations from multiple reputable bodies, underscores its commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of academic rigor, infrastructure, and overall educational excellence. These recognitions instill confidence in students, parents, and stakeholders regarding the quality and credibility of the educational experience offered by LPU.

Hello reader, I hope you are doing well, Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a UGC-recognized university, which means it has been approved by the University Grants Commission, the apex body for higher education in India. UGC recognition is considered the highest level of accreditation for universities in India, and it signifies that the university meets the required standards of academic excellence and infrastructure. AICTE approval, on the other hand, is primarily required for colleges or institutes that offer technical courses. Since LPU is a full-fledged university with UGC recognition, it does not require separate AICTE approval for its technical programs. The university's curriculum and infrastructure are already deemed to meet the necessary standards as per UGC guidelines. Moreover, LPU has received accreditation from various other recognized bodies, such as the Council of Architecture (COA), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases. , to know more refer link- https://www.lpu.in/about_lpu/accreditation.php?_gl=1*whbwqv*_gcl_au*NTA5NTc3MTg4LjE2OTQwNTg0OTM.

Hi, LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. In a major blow to AICTE, Supreme Court has ruled that an AICTE approval is not required for private colleges running University-approved MBA programs. In addition to it, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the Council of Architecture (COA) and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). LPU was the first university to get an approval from ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research). LPU has ACBSP accreditation as well as holds an affiliation with Bar Council of India (BCI).

LPU is a university.A university does not require AICTE permission; all that is required is the UGC approval, which we already have.According to the Supreme Court's ruling from the case of Bharathidasan University v. AICTE & others, which was decided on September 24, 2001, universities are not need to obtain the approval or accreditation of AICTE in order to conduct technical programmes.Accreditation is only necessary for technical institutes and colleges that are linked to universities. Therefore, you do not need to worry about the AICTE's affiliation with engineering programmes.

See, UGC provides approval for institutions in general and AICTE provides approval for only those institutions that offer engineering and management courses. In an AICTE-approved Institute, any changes to student intake, the addition of courses, closure of the course, change in affiliation, or change in the name of the course or institution must be approved by AICTE. But it is not so in case the institution is UGC-approved. Earlier the courses administered at Lovely Institute were run under PTU in 2002 and were approved by AICTE. But as in 2006 LPU came into existence after approval from UGC, it needn’t go for AICTE approval anymore. The B. Tech from LPU is completely valid across the world. You can even have a look at the copy of all the approval notifications at LPU’s official website. You can choose LPU for grooming your career in the field of engineering without any doubts. Moreover, at LPU you will get ample opportunities to secure good placement. I hope this will help.
