Why is JEE Mains easier than JEE Advanced ?

JEE Mains is set purely on the basis of NCERT syllabus. While the level of questions asked in Mains is higher than regular NCERT books, it still remains within the confines of NCERT. JEE Advanced by a different IIT every year who have the freedom to run wild with the level and style of questioning. This is why JEE Advanced is much more tougher than JEE Mains.
