The first time I tried hiring someone online, I didn’t think it would be complicated I just assumed a good profile and a few messages would be enough, everything looked fine in the beginning, but once the work started, small misunderstandings began to appear and kept building up, It wasn’t about skills, but more about how differently we interpreted the same instructions, that’s when I realized I had rushed the selection process and didn’t pay enough attention to how we actually communicate, after that experience, I started focusing more on early conversations, not just portfolios. It completely changed how I approach hiring now.
