A Ganapathy Vice-Chancellor of Bharathiar University Coimbatore demanded INR 35 lakh as bribe from a candidate for the appointment to the post of assistant professor. VC had demanded INR 35 lakh as bribe for the appointment. He accepted INR 1 lakh from the candidate today as the token amount. He was caught red-handed while taking the marked notes on Saturday.
