Most people think midlife is a time to slow down. I chose the opposite. I left the boardroom behind and bought a one way ticket to explore the world through flavor.
My name is Dan, and my mission is simple: to experience 50 cuisines across the globe not from tourist menus, but straight from the hands of those who truly cook these dishes. From street stalls in Bangkok at sunrise to a grandmother’s kitchen in Oaxaca, and a family table in Marrakech where I couldn’t speak the language but understood every single bite, every meal is a story.
Food isn’t just nourishment. It’s memory. It’s history passed down through generations. Every dish I try is a chapter in a story that most cookbooks never capture.
I started this journey because I believe it’s never too late to follow your dreams not at 50, not at 60, not ever. Chasing flavors across the globe has shown me that food is more than taste it’s about connection, understanding, and the best adventure you can have: the one served on a plate.
