When I was looking for a car, I preferred a 6 cylinder engine over a turbo 4 because I needed a strong and responsive ride. I took a test drive of the Genesis G70 Sport Manual, but I ultimately purchased a used M235i penalty kick online. The M235i was superior in terms of power, shifter/clutch feel, value (old car), and size, however the G70 was quieter, came with the LSD, and had better steering feel.

Before the soundproofing project, road and engine noise were a constant companion, making it difficult to enjoy the car's audio system or have a quiet conversation. The cabin felt like it was constantly under assault from the outside world. After extensively researching soundproofing options, I decided to give Sound deadener a try, and it was a game-changer. Their materials were not only easy to work with but also incredibly effective. I tackled the doors, floor, and trunk area, and the difference was noticeable immediately. The first thing I noticed was the significant reduction in road and tire noise. It's as if I was driving on a freshly paved road every day.

Tires are not cupped or flat spotted and I just did an alignment. I previously added sound dampening material to the front doors and front wheel wells of my last DD, a VW Jetta, with great success. It wore 4 year old touring class all season Michelins Primacy. The weird thing is that although the soundmeter app on my phone (uncalibrated) showed slightly larger dB on the Jetta, it felt a lot quieter due to lack of tire roar and that low frequency resonance.
