What are the scholarship criteria at OP Jindal University (OPJU) ?

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder students' access to quality education. The university's Scholarship Scheme is designed to nurture the talents of students who may face financial challenges. Scholarships are available across all programs, from Diploma to Ph.D. Additionally, LPU provides financial aid to underprivileged students, including orphans, persons with disabilities, and specific groups like Wards of Defence personnel. LPU recognizes its social corporate responsibility and actively supports those in need. The university offers a variety of scholarships and financial aid to encourage merit and assist the deserving. Applying for a scholarship is a one-time process at the time of admission, and the awarded scholarship continues throughout the course. However, different criteria apply to those admitted through the sports quota, board toppers, and performing arts. Board toppers, sports, and extracurricular category students must either maintain a CGPA or continue excelling in their respective fields to retain their scholarships. In contrast, students awarded scholarships through LPU NEST are not obligated to maintain specific academic or sports performance. LPU provides scholarships through various avenues, including LPUNEST, marks-based criteria for previous qualifying exams, performance in national-level entrance tests, sports, cultural and co-curricular activities, social service, R&D, bravery activities, and special scholarships for Education Board toppers. Furthermore, LPU extends support through the LPUNEST Study Grant, financial aid for Defense/CAPF and their dependents, aid for orphan candidates, persons with disabilities, minorities, transgender individuals, non-traditional students, need-based financial aid, EWS scholarships for those with a family income below 5 lakhs, single girl child, single mother, and Tibetan students studying in CTA schools and Vidya Bharti Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan.

The university offers scholarships with 60% percentile and above. You can get a scholarship according to your eligibility. If you score 83.5% you are eligible for Shri OP Jindal Scholarship(Boys)/Smt. Savitri Devi Jindal Scholarship(Girls).
