Lovely Professional University gained global recognition in a very short time and is not only known for its academic culture and placements but also recognised for its extracurricular activities. Apart from studies, students get good opportunities to prove themselves in several areas. Lovely Professional University students have shown their talent in every field at every level. LPU got the first runner-up trophy at the Khelo India university event. The award was given away by Union Home minister Amit Shah. Not only in sports but the university provides opportunities in various other fields like Entrepreneurship, One India, One World, Youth vibe, etc. Entrepreneurship Cell LPU has an entrepreneurship cell for management students. Under this cell, mentors from LPU as well as from the industry develop essential business skills among students. This helps the students to understand the basic insights of the corporate world and the tactics required to carry out various business practices. Students under the guidance of mentors start various business projects inside as well as outside the LPU campus. Most of the projects are usually related to sales and skills developed through these projects are convincing skills, communication skills, command of language, product knowledge, public dealing and patience level improvement. Some of the selected students get a chance to run their business venture inside the campus itself and most of them are running it successfully and setting examples for other students. One India LPU has students from all twenty-nine states of India. One India is an event at LPU which gives chance to the students to represent the culture of their state in the event. Cultural coordinators of each school in the university prepare the students for this event. In this, volunteers are asked to give their names and followed by an interview process, the student is selected for representing the state. The preparation starts almost one month before the actual date of the event. In this students try to represent the tradition and culture of the state including dance, food, lifestyle, famous architects, symbols of the state, and dressing style. All the schools with their participants roam around the whole campus to showcase their hard work. A place is fixed for the two-day event, which is usually a huge shed area of the LPU campus having a capacity of thousands of people. Students, teachers and other staff members visit the event to enjoy various food items and get entertained through various dance and music forms. In the one-month journey of this event, starting from the selection to performance and winding up, students learn various skills like teamwork, coordination, art, music, dance, painting and a lot more. This event gives everyone the chance to see mini India under one roof. One World Along the lines of one India, LPU organises another event that is One World. As the name suggests, here students from various countries of the world participate and represent their respective countries. Here also, the role of cultural coordinators is important as in One India. The selection criteria and the whole process goes the same way as in One India. This event develops cross-cultural understanding among students from various countries. Youth Vibe Youth vibe is one of the most enjoyable and interesting events for Lovely Professional University students. Here students showcase their talent through singing, drama, dancing, etc. All the talents are showcased in one event named youth vibe. Nukkad Natak Mittal School of business at LPU is very often involved in activities like Nukkad Natak. The purpose of events like nukkad natak is to spread moral and valuable messages among students related to social awareness like the dowry system, girl child education, blood donation, respect of old age people and women empowerment. Students not only give a relevant message but also develop acting skills and confidence through this event. This improves the personality of students and prepares them for the outside world.
