I am doing classes in ALS Shalimar Place while many of my friends are enrolled in other coachings in Mukhrjee Nagar and Rajendra Nagar. We often sit together for discussion. I think as far as faculty, concepts and class notes are the concerned, ALS has a clear edge over the others. The printed material is awesome. Every Saturday there are 2 hours Current Affairs classes which help fresher like me to understand the current events in a holistic manner. The faculty members are very experienced are always there for you to clear your doubts. The staff members are also very cooperative. Follow the link : Top 10 coaching institutes for IAS in Delhi

Firstly, I would like to appreciate your efforts on giving a thought about preparing for the UPSC examinations. There are numerous coaching centres, around the country, to train you for this 'Mother of all examinations in the country'. And as it is true, the coaching centres at Delhi get the highest hits with this regard. That is mainly because they are quite well experienced with the syllabus and so then know what to teach you. But let me also tell you that attending classes at a coaching centre would be nothing more than the lectures you heard while at school. What they teach you is definitely necessary, for you to know as far as the exam is concerned, but you cannot be thought all of it. You as an aspirant should consider the coaching only as a foundation course based on which you can develop your strategy for the preparations. You will also have to let yourself know that there would be nothing less than a hundred students in the class with you and you might as well get distracted to a certain extent, apart from the money you would spending on the coaching, study materials, accommodation, food and miscellaneous purchases.
