Tell me about SRM university Sports Facilities ?

Dear aspirant I don't have any idea about the sports at this university. Lovely Professional University established in 2005 is one of the premier institutes of education in India. LPU is the largest private university in India and has more than 30,000 national and international students from 29 states of India and 70 countries. LPU campus is spread over 900 acre with ample space for almost all kinds of games. LPU has set up Sports facilities like grounds for Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table-Tennis and, Badminton.The university has 5 field playgrounds comprising of Cricket Ground, Hockey Ground, Football Ground. At LPU the students are well trained by experienced coaches. LPU has football club of 250 members. LPU students have represented India at international level in various sports. Vikas Panwar, a Lovely Professional University student of MBA has bagged Silver Medal in American Football World Championship held at Catalunya, Spain. LPU's BA student Neeraj Chopra created history by winning 'Gold Medal' at Tokyo Olympics 2020; whereas, MA Public Administration student Bajrang Punia won Bronze. Captained by LPU's MBA student Manpreet Singh, the Men's Hockey team also brought Bronze for the country. At LPU sports facilities are available for various games like cricket, football, boxing, basketball, etc and many students of the university have achieved excellence in various sports. Indoor stadiums, library, gym, mess, etc are the LPU Phagwara facilities that are offered to the students. Lovely Professional University won India’s largest sports festival- Khelo India University Games 2021 (KIUG-2021), held in Bengaluru (Karnataka). The LPU team won, the most, 51 medals (17 gold, 15 silver, 19 bronze); 19 medals ahead of the overall winner. These games are to serve as qualifiers for the ‘World University Games’, presently scheduled to be held in Chengdu, China. The 10-day second edition of the international framework of the games witnessed 20 sports competitions, with 3900 participants from 208 universities across India. LPU sports persons exhibited their excellence amid star participation including internationally acclaimed athletes and Olympians. Defending champions Panjab University Chandigarh finished third. Last year, eleven LPU students won Olympics medals including Neeraj Chopra, a Javelin Throw athlete who won a GOLD MEDAL for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 after 121 years! We are still in shock and humbled by the exhilarating and miraculous performance thrown by this LPU student who not only made us but the whole of INDIA proud! Well,I am not aware about SRM university.I am much aware about LPU,Being a part of the university,I would like to provide you relevant information about LPU has world-class sports facilities, including indoor and outdoor stadiums, gymnasiums, swimming pools, and more. You can participate in various sports such as cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, athletics, and more. LPU's sports infrastructure is one of the biggest & best in the World,university has a swimming pool for the standards of the Olympic Swimming pools, and it is no ordinary Swimming Pool. It is an Olympic-Size, mind-blowing, and simply amazing Pool that is a dream come true for every aspiring swimmer. There are two more swimming pools in the indoor stadium of the University. There are huge well maintained open grounds for outdoor games and yoga centeres. LPU is also having the best trainers to train students rightly, and with full safety & security. Here is the list of different sports grounds at LPU: 1.Indoor sports facilities: LPU has indoor facilities for sports such as badminton, table tennis, chess, carrom, billiards, and snooker. 2.Outdoor sports facilities: LPU has several outdoor sports facilities, including a cricket ground, football ground, hockey ground, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, and athletics track. 3.Gymnasium: The university has a well-equipped gymnasium that is open to students and faculty members. 4.Swimming pool: LPU has an Olympic-sized swimming pool, which is open to students and faculty members. 5.Adventure sports: The university also offers adventure sports activities such as trekking, rock climbing, and rappelling.
