Should I choose architecture or civil engineering? Why? ?

The old joke goes that architects learn less and less about more and more until the they know nothing about everything and engineers know more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing. The truth in this is that architects are responsible for the big picture. How all the stuff and purposes and constraints are managed and assembled to make a coherent and useful building (bonus points if it's also beautiful). Engineers are the ones responsible for going over the details to make sure the building stands up, the heating and cooling work, the water flows, the toilets don't back up, and so on and so forth.
