My brother is applying to college -- to the major communications programs in the Northeast: Syracuse, BU, Hofstra, Fordham. After Syracuse, which of these programs are best? ?

It might depend on the specific concentration within the communications field. For example, as a graduate of BU's advertising program I can say that one of its greatest advantages is the proximity/accessibility of several well-known ad agencies in the city. In fact, many of the program's professors/academic resources are former ad execs from Arnold, Hill Holliday, etc. That being said, I'm not sure about the other programs (journalism, PR, film, mass comm).
