During the admission process for PhD students, Lovely Professional University (LPU) conducts interviews to gain insight into the applicant's research intentions and potential contributions to their chosen field. The interview serves as a platform for the candidate to present their research abstract and proposal, outlining their proposed area of study and the objectives they aim to achieve. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of their research topic, its significance, and the potential for innovation. They must articulate their research goals, methodologies, and expected outcomes convincingly. Additionally, candidates are required to convey their enthusiasm and commitment to pursuing advanced research in their respective fields. The interview board comprises experienced faculty members and subject matter experts who evaluate the applicant's research proposal, assess the feasibility of the proposed research, and gauge the candidate's preparedness for doctoral-level studies. The board seeks assurance that the applicant's research plan is original, well-conceived, and has the potential to contribute to existing knowledge in the field. If the interview board deems the candidate's responses satisfactory and finds the proposed research promising, the aspirant is granted admission to the PhD program. This rigorous selection process ensures that only those applicants with a strong research aptitude and a genuine passion for advancing knowledge are admitted to LPU's doctoral programs.

Well my elder sister currently pursuing PhD form LPU. She said the LPU interview is not too challenging for someone with solid subject knowledge. One must first pass the LPUNEST, which is the prerequisite for both eligibility and scholarship, in order to be admitted to the PhD programme at LPU. After the exam, one must pass the interview part, where the questions are entirely stream-based and where confidence and communication skills are equally important factors. So, when my sis went to the interview, she had great experience there and initially she thought it might not go well at first, but the staff was excellent and comforted her with words, giving her the confidence she needed. She consequently passed the LPUNEST and the interview on her first try. Hope this information helpful!!!
