How do I get scholarship in LPU? ?

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is firmly committed to eliminating financial barriers to quality education for students. The university's Scholarship Scheme aims to foster the talents of individuals facing economic constraints. Scholarships are available across all academic programs, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Additionally, LPU offers financial assistance to disadvantaged students, including orphans, persons with disabilities, and specific groups such as Wards of Defence personnel. Recognizing its corporate social responsibility, LPU actively supports those in need by offering a diverse range of scholarships and financial aid to promote merit and assist deserving students. Scholarship applications are a one-time process during admission, and once awarded, the scholarship persists throughout the duration of the course. However, distinct criteria apply to students admitted through the sports quota, board toppers, and performing arts categories. Board toppers, sports achievers, and extracurricular category students are required to either maintain a certain CGPA or continue excelling in their respective fields to retain their scholarships. Conversely, students awarded scholarships through LPUNEST are not obliged to maintain specific academic or sports performance standards. LPU provides scholarships through various avenues, including LPUNEST, merit-based criteria from previous qualifying examinations, performance in national-level entrance tests, participation in sports, cultural and co-curricular activities, engagement in social service, research and development endeavors, bravery activities, and special scholarships for Education Board toppers. Furthermore, LPU extends support through initiatives such as the LPUNEST Study Grant, financial aid for Defense/CAPF personnel and their dependents, assistance for orphan candidates, persons with disabilities, minorities, transgender individuals, non-traditional students, need-based financial aid, EWS scholarships for families with a yearly income below 5 lakhs, scholarships for single girl children, single mothers, and Tibetan students studying in CTA schools and Vidya Bharti Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan.

LPU offers a special scholarship of Full Tuition fee waiver to Indian resident orphan students whose both parents are dead. The university gives scholarships based on a first come first serve basis to 10 applicants. The candidate having a benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of a full fee waiver. However, the LPU committee scrutinises the case. LPU offers exclusive Scholarship schemes for Tibetan Students studying in CTA (Central Tibetan Administration) Schools and Students studying in different schools managed by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan where based on tests conducted in schools of the concerned organisation and/or recommendation of the concerned authority of the organisation, certain students may be offered full tuition fee waiver.

LPU understands the social corporate responsibility and believes in holding hands of the needy. Hence, in a bid to owe the social responsibility towards the needy, and give a token of encouragement to the meritorious, LPU offers a range of scholarships and financial aid. You do not have to apply for a scholarship every time you pay the fee. What you get at the time of admission, continues till the course is over. However, the criteria are different for those who have sought admission through sports quota, board toppers, and performing arts. If you are a board topper and someone from the sports category and extracurricular performance category, you will have to either maintain a CGPA or keep performing in sports or extracurricular activities as the case may be. Otherwise, if you have got a scholarship through LPU NEST then you are not bound to maintain your academic or sports performance. These are the scholarships the university offers.
