Lovely Professional University (LPU) conducts its own entrance exam called LPUNEST for admission and scholarship to more than 150 programmes that having the same number with time shooter 2. The exam is conducted in online mode every year and acts as an Entrance Test as well as Scholarship Test. The amount of scholarship is determined by the marks and rank obtained by candidates in the exam. The university also accepts all national level exams like CAT/XAT/MAT/JEE Mains/NATA, etc. for admission to its courses as well. The exams consist of continuous assessments (CA) around 3–4 CA’s depending on the subject. Those tests are placed during the semester half before mid and half after midterm exams. Those tests (CA) have small part as the syllabus (like 1–2 chapters). These tests are very important they have a weightage of 25% in final marks.

Attendance also plays a vital role.we have 5 marks for attendance and marks are provisioned based on your attendance. 90 above -5 marks 85 above -4 marks 80 above -3 marks 75 above -2 marks Attendance of 75 % is mandatory or else you will not be permitted to sit in end term(detained). The subject that you missed due to (low attendance) are considered to be backlog subjects for which you have to pay 8000/- not accurate bit more than that per each subject and those are considered to be backlog subjects even if you can't clear then you have to pay the same for the next time till you clear them.
