L. D. College of Engineering, a premier college of Gujarat, was established in 1948. It is affiliated to Gujarat University. The full form of college is Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering. The college has been accredited by AICTE and National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

• The campus has offices, hostels, and residences of the Principal, rector and wardens. The plinth area of college and hostel buildings admeasures 45,220 m² and 12,556 m² respectively
• The mission of L.D. College of Engineering is to deliver technical programs and services to meet the changing needs of society and industry
