Jeppiaar Engineering College (JEC) was inaugurated on 15th of August 2001 as one of the most prestigious institutions of Jeppiaar Educational Trust.

Activities:

  • NCC (National Cadet Corps): This naval wing was started in 2003 in the presence of commander, B.V Ramakrishna and is functioning successfully. The strength of NCC division is 50 cadets, including 15 girl cadets. There were 20 parades conducted and each was consisting of 6 periods i.e. 4 hours.
  • Youth Red Cross: This Unit was inaugurated in our college on 5th September 2003 with 161 students. The first activity organized was the collection of an important commodity – BLOOD. The Youth Red Cross students of Jeppiaar Engineering College organized a blood donation camp on 10-12-2003. Total 115 students and staff donated blood in the camp.
  • IEEE Chapter: IEEE is the world's largest leading professional association for the technology. The IEEE Student Branch of College was formed on 25th December 2005 & it was inaugurated on 27th March 2006.
  • IEEE ComSoc “Spectrum Talk”: IEEE Communication Society conducted this event  “Spectrum Talk” for second and third year students on 28th August 2014.

Facilities:

  • Infrastructure: The Institute has campus area of around 48 acres.
  • Library: Library is centrally well-equipped and air-conditioned. It has a good collection of books, journals and non-book materials. Library has 1,04,397 volume of books, 8,292 Titles & 550 CDs. The college has access to 1,273+ e-resources, ASME journals, IEL online & springer link.
  • Auditorium: Dr. Madhavan Nair auditorium having a seating capacity of 3,500 in 24000 sqft. Area.
  • Conference Hall:  A fully air conditioned hall with seating capacity of 540 people is ideal for a seminar and conferences.
  • Hostel: Campus Accommodation is provided to both the students boys as well as girls.
