About College
Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University (SOA), Bhubaneswar was established as Deemed to be a university by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on 17 July 2007 in Bhubaneswar. It is formed under the aegis of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan Charitable Trust which is registered under the Trust Act 1982 to meet the educational needs of the people of the country. It is also recognized under UGC Act-1956. The university conducts a national level entrance test, the Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT) for programs offered in different constituent institutes/schools of the university.

Ranking and awards- SOA has been awarded an `A’ grade by NAAC in 2009. Also, the university is ISO certified by the United Register of Systems (URS).
Scheme of Research Assistantships- In this scheme, SOA provides financial assistance of Rs 15,000/- to the students recruited under the scheme and encourage them to earn their Ph.D. degree at the university within 24 months.
Industry Collaboration- The university has signed MoU with reputed organizations such as Infosys for Campus Connect Programme, Wipro for Mission 10X, Hexaware for Centre for Excellence, and Mind Tree for Gyanbrukshya as trusted academic partners.
Evening Courses- The university constituent college Institute of Technical Education & Research offers evening courses in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Introduction to Electrical Engineering, and Introduction to Electronics.
International Collaboration- SOA association with International Universities such as Daffodil International University, Bangladesh; Keti Medical Centre & Pain Management, USA; Northern University, Bangladesh; Rajamangala University of Technology, etc.

In 2007 it was declared as Deemed University.The university has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade 'A' for its overall performance. The journey of academic excellence has brought various accolades to the institution including quality benchmarking by various agencies like National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE and ISO-9001:2000 certification by URS, UK.

Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2015) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / Information Technology or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing atleast 45% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned (40% incase of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category)OR Pass in Diploma programme in Pharmacy with less than 60% marks.
