About College
IIIT-Hyderabad was the first autonomous private institution that was established in 1997 in Telangana. With a primary focus on Information Technology, it was set up as a research university. International Institute of International Technology, Hyderabad has been listed under top 10 technical schools in India by Dataquest consistently for the past 7-8 years. All undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs of this institute are fully residential.
The sprawling campus of the university is 66 acres on the Gachibowli road (also called the Old Bombay highway) that is well connected via bus and rail with the nearest railway station Lingampally. surrounded by many academic and research institutions like the Hyderabad Central University, Indian School of Business (ISB), TCS-CMC, Indian Immunologicals, and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Development Banking (JNIDB), IIIT-H is just a few minutes away from the HiTech City center. Currently, the institute is spread in four large 3-floor buildings with facilities like research labs, bank extension counter, ATM machine, stationery shop, laundry services, Labs with the latest hardware and software, digital library with over 150 journals and magazines, facilities for outdoor sports like cricket, volleyball, swimming, hockey, etc, gymnasium, and spacious canteen with 4 vegetarian messes.

Hostel |
Hostels for boys and girls have been allotted separately with basic amenities being available for them. The rooms in all the hostels have internet connections and are networked with the entire campus |

Students can enjoy themselves by availing of sports facilities like cricket, table tennis, football, volleyball, etc. The institute even takes assistance from the nearby sports stadiums to let the students have facilities like badminton, hockey, and so on. |

Library |
The institute library boasts of a huge collection of books, textbooks, technical reports, literature books, and so on Subscription to more than 150 journals & magazines. It is managed fully by an integrated multi-user Library Management Software which helps in availing the OPAC facility |

Achievements & Awards
CanSat is a NASA sponsored and American Astronautical Society organized annual international competition. IIIT-H has been the only team from India to qualify for World Finals, each time, from 2009 to 2011.
