The GITAM University (Vishakhapatnam Campus) is one of the Best Universities that have been providing the best of management and technical education. The students are finding all the necessary amenities that are needed for them to stay and study in this University.

• It is located at Gandhi Nagar Campus Rushikonda Vishakhapatnam, (in the state of Andhra Pradesh).
• GITAM stands for Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management.
• It was set up in the year 1980. The University was set up by a group of some brightest intellectuals and some industrialists of the state of Andhra Pradesh who were led to Dr. M.V.V.S. Murthi.

Centre for Distance Learning – The students can opt for any postgraduate diploma, and undergraduate degrees. Students can simply learn from their home. They do not have to attend classes. Distance learning has rally made education better than ever before.

CDL - BA/B.Com Flexible Admission – GITAM University is the best in the field of imparting excellent education. There are various B.A. and B.Com Programmes under the flexible system. The language can be Telegu as well as English medium. Anybody who is above 18 can apply and also formal education is not mandatory. Just knowing how to read and write is enough.

Centre for Integrated Rural Development – This centre helps in promoting, planning, undertaking, developing and supporting various schemes or projects which is meant for the overall development of all, the formation of opportunities for employment and also increase in awareness  level.

The fantastic facilities are listed below:

Laboratories - Biodiesel Lab – The University has come up with this latest kind of lab. The labs are very well equipped and thus provides for all the instruments that are needed. There are other laboratories like phytopharmaceutical lab, renewable energy lab, bio-ethanol lab, plant tissue culture lab and solar energy lab.

Library – The library has been named after Sir Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, earlier president of India. The library has a huge amalgamation of books, journals and periodical. There are books from all the subjects and disciplines like technology, engineering, science, management, medicine, literature and pharmacy.

E-Learning Research Centre – The learning centre is well equipped and thus provides for the students to gain more knowledge so that they can be able to know more about the world. Internet is the one of the best medium of gathering knowledge.

Internet Facilities – With 45 Mbps Broadband service, nobody will have any complain about the connectivity service that the University provides for. The students are getting free internet access and thus it is helping them immensely. All are being benefitted.

Hostels

Sadarma Sadan – This hostel is for the boys with an accommodation of 600. There are 300 single and also double rooms. The hostel provides for dining facility, solar heater (water) and also steam cooking. The food is also very delicious and also the hostel gives a sea view. TV with cable connection has been provided so that the students can opt for any channel that they like to watch. Resident warden is also there so that any unwanted events do not take place. The warden looks after the hostel and its students too.

Kokila Sadan – It is the hostels for the girls and it is very much safe for the girls to stay. There is an accommodation for 1084 girls and there are 283 rooms in all. The cooking system is also there and thus the girls are finding these hostels very bright.

GITAM Food World – There are four restaurants and each of them is providing with the best of food and thus the students finds food fantastic here.
