About College

Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune was established in 1993 and in 2002, the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India conferred on Symbiosis, the status of deemed to be University. SIMS is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International Deemed University and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (of the UGC) in November 2008.

• Vision of the Institute is “To Be the premier hub of management education for armed forces personnel and their dependents”
• Mission of the Institute is “Create and sustain professional research and knowledge based services”
• SIMS is an ISO 9001:2008 quality certified management institute
• It is only B-School in private sector with 90% seats reserved for wards of Defence personnel
• SIMS is an accredited "Centre for Corporate Governance" of the 'National Foundation of Corporate Governance’. The institute is one amongst IIM Ahmedabad, JBIMS and SPJIMR in the western region to be an accredited center for Corporate Governance.

Scholarships -

• J P Morgan Scholarship Program- JPMC offers scholarship to the students of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies to reward and recognize the students having a great acumen in Finance. The Scholarship is known as J.P. Morgan Global Finance FinWiz Program. Selection is based on academic performance, group discussions, personal interviews and presentations. The Scholarship amount for the Senior Batch was Rs. One Lac and Rs. 50,000/- for the Junior Batch, in the academic year 2013-14
